The attendees for
this conference come from very broad range of applied statistics
as well as th theory and education of the discipline of statistics.
They include both users and producers of statistics. The groups
who may have particular interest for AASDA session are expected
to be officials and survey statisticians, statistical computing
experts and academia who are interested in data sources all over
the world.
AASDA will like to inform you that speakers and discussants are
expected to find their own funding to travel to the conference,
pay registration fees and cover their living costs in Durban.
If a contributor from Africa or another developing country is
unable to find funds, AASDA will work closely with ISI to identify
possible source of funding to its level possible.
So, this is to invite any interested professional to participate
in the conference by contributing to the AASDA session along
with the defined theme of the session. We will ask interested
contributors to send the abstract of their paper (not more than
two pages) to Yakob Mudesir, Vice-Chair of AASDA through the
following e-mail address not later that end of November 2008
and the full paper should be submitted on or before 13 April
2009. The e-mail address is: yakobu@ethionet.et
Thank you in advance for your interest to be part of AASDA’s
