In line with this statistical program, CSA also finalized the formulation of the statistical development strategic plan. The statistical development strategic plan will be used as a road map and provide a framework for harnessing resources and capacity building programs. Therefore, the application of the medium term statistical program together with the strategic plan is expected to allow CSA to provide, better than ever, a broad range of current and reliable statistical data and services, to stakeholders in an efficient, user focused and systematic manner.

In addition to the annual economic surveys to be taken based on the medium term statistical program, CSA has planned to take surveys on the following other important economic sectors which will have the greatest role to play in developing and monitoring of development strategies of the government:

• The ongoing Economic Establishments Survey
• The quarterly based Manufacturing Industries Survey
• The quarterly based Manufacturing Industries production and producers price index
• The quarterly or twice a year based Trade and service providers statistics;
• The quarterly based Current Employment and Unemployment Survey
• The quarterly based Foreign Trade Price Index
• The quarterly based Agricultural Producers Price Index
• Early Warning on Crop Production Forecast;
• The quarterly based Foreign Trade Statistics
• The monthly and quarterly based Producers and Retail Price Index
