Regional Statistical Offices and Field Operations
Department is one of the six departments in the CSA. It is organized
with the main objectives of facilitating and controlling the proper
execution of different surveys starting from the preparatory and
actual field works until the field questionnaires and listing
forms are brought back to the head office for data processing
activities. Furthermore, the department prepares budgets breakdowns,
distributes survey documents such as questionnaires, manuals,
listing forms, maps and field equipments. It makes frequent supervision
to the field works by its personnel and subject matter departments
and ensures field activities are done according to desired quality
and time.
To
accomplish its duties and responsibilities the department is organized
under two statistical team groups. They are Deployment Experts’
Team and Training and Supervision Experts’ Team and 25 Statistical
Branch Offices. Currently, at the level of the head office it
has about 5 professionals and 11 non-professionals. In the 25
regional statistical branch offices there are about 90 professionals,
235 field supervisors, 2735 permanent and temporary field enumerators
and 234 other subordinate staff. However, the size of manpower
in the regional statistical branch offices is not permanent. It
is determined according to the type and number of surveys to be
conducted at a given time. |
